The housing area is designed in a manner that is intended to serve as a display area that encourages the adoption of cats. One of the focal points is the “cat condo” structure. The building’s lobby has been designed to be attract and encourage the public to visit the facility. The lobby has the characteristics and feel of a pet store rather than a traditional institutional looking animal shelter. It includes reception areas, retail space, visitation, and play areas.
