Melissa Public Safety Building Fire Administration
Melissa, Texas
The new Melissa Public Safety Building incorporates the City’s Police Department, Municipal Courts, and Fire Administration into a new combined facility. The Police Department includes space for the Administration, C.I.D., Patrol, Records, and Property/Evidence divisions. Spaces include a fitness center, locker rooms, and decompression space. The Municipal Courts part of the building has court offices, service windows, and the courtroom. The Fire Administration area provides offices, conference space, and storage.
The Public Safety Building provides 28,500 square feet of space designed to meet the spatial needs of the Police Department, Municipal Courts, and Fire Administration. The building was also planned to be easily expanded for long term growth needs.
The project also includes a stand-alone new 12,500 square foot Fire Station #1. The station includes 3-1/2 drive-thru apparatus bays, living quarters for twelve fire fighters and EMS personnel, work areas, and decontamination facilities.
