Hurst City Hall
Hurst, Texas
The project began as a feasibility study to determine if the City of Hurst should relocate its three municipal buildings (city hall, public works building, and police building) to a new site or expand and update its facilities in their present location. After completing a Facilities Needs Study and analyzing the existing site, it was determined the best solution was to remain on the present site and expand.
The project involved expanding the existing City Hall building to 34,000 square feet. This was accomplished by connecting the existing City Hall and Public Works building with a new ground floor addition and by adding a third floor by spanning over the existing city hall. The new Hurst City Hall was designed to create a strong identifiable freeway image for the City of Hurst.
