Gateway Community Church
Wylie, Texas
Gateway Community Church constructed its existing building in 2006 and by 2013 the Church had outgrown its worship space and education space for both children and youth.
The first step in addressing the Church’s needs involved developing an action plan that would allow for phased construction. Phase I focused on the Church’s most pressing need - expansion of the sanctuary. The seating capacity of the sanctuary was increased from 300 people to 600 people. This was accomplished by incorporating adjacent interior space into the sanctuary. The stage was relocated and completely redesigned.
Phase II was started as soon as Phase was completed. This phase included a new 35,000 square foot, two story, education building for both the children and youth ministries. Phase II also included a new lobby and commons areas connecting the existing building to the new building.
